Arizona will be the No. 2 seed in the west region and will face North Dakota in Salt Lake City on Thursday.

TUCSON, Ariz. – Just one day after claiming its sixth Pac-12 Tournament championship in Las Vegas, Arizona was rewarded with the No. 2 seed in the West Region of the 2017 NCAA Tournament. The Wildcats will travel to Salt Lake City and play North Dakota in a first-round game on Thursday, March 16 (6:50 p.m. MST / TBS). UA is making its 32nd appearance in the NCAA Tournament with an all-time record of 54-30 (.643) and 11-5 (.688) under Pac-12 Coach of the Year Sean Miller. The 2017 tournament is the sixth NCAA postseason appearance for the Wildcats in Miller's eight seasons in Tucson.

The Wildcats were one of four Pac-12 programs selected to the NCAA field, joining Oregon, UCLA and USC.

Arizona won a share of the Pac-12 regular-season championship with the Oregon Ducks after finishing the regular season with a record of 27-4 and 16-2 in conference play. The program's path to this year's conference tournament crown included three wins in three days over Colorado, No. 3 UCLA and No. 5 Oregon. Arizona's conference tournament title marked the fifth time in program history the Wildcats won the conference tournament and at least a share of the regular-season championship since joining the league prior to the 1978-79 season.
