The Wildcats also welcome four incoming freshmen: Laura Leigh Horton from Houston, Texas; Sydney Freidin from Westchester, Calif.; Adra Parks from West Des Moines, Iowa; and Payton Bellows from Southwick, Mass.
The Cats will host five meets during the 2018 season, starting the weekend of Jan. 5-7 with a tri-meet against Denver and Rutgers. Arizona will also compete against UCLA, Utah, Stanford, UNC, San Jose State, and Air Force in the upcoming year.
Every fall, the GymCats announce their theme for the upcoming year. This season the theme is "Step Up Bear Down".
"This year our motto is 'Step Up Bear Down'," said Cindric. "Each letter of STEP represents something different, S – strength, T – tenacity, E – Effort, and P – pride. This year, we are focusing on doing everything we can in the gym and outside of it to represent Arizona."
In addition to the regular-season home meets, the GymCats will host the Pac-12 Championships. The two-session event, which comes to Tucson once every eight years, will be held in the McKale Center on March 17. Ticket information will be available at a later date.
Arizona gymnastics is encouraging fans to "Step Up" with them and show their support. Season tickets are on sale at arizonawildcats.com and individual meet tickets will be available on Oct. 17.
