WILMETTE, Ill. -- The Windy City Collegiate Classic ended on Tuesday with the Arizona Wildcats women's golf team taking home third place.
The No.15 Wildcats entered the day with a one stroke lead over No. 4 USC, but finished at 7-over for the week (871), seven shots back of USC.
Junior
Sandra Nordaas shot a final round 70 (-2) to finish 3-under on the week and tied for third, a career-best finish. Nordaas shot an opening round 71 yesterday morning, and an even-par 72 in the afternoon. She tallied 12 birdies across her three rounds.
Senior
Bianca Pagdanganan posted a 6-over 78 today to finish tied for 18th at 4-over. Fellow senior
Haley Moore finished a shot back of Pagdanganan thanks to a round of 73. Freshman
Ya-Chun Chang completed her debut tournament with a 6-over round of 78 and finished tied for 30th.
Yu-Sang Hou collected three birdies en route to a 75, and finished in a tie for 37th.
The Cats led the field in par-5 scoring with an average of 4.82, which equates to 8-under for the tournament. The team also recorded 49 birdies over the three rounds, leading the field in that category as well. Individually, Nordaas was second in par-4 scoring and Pagdanganan was second in par-5 scoring.
Next up for the Wildcats is the East Lake Cup in Atlanta, Ga. starting October 30th.
