CORVALLIS, Ore. – The University of Arizona women's soccer team defeated Oregon State by a score of 3-0 on Thursday night in Corvallis, Ore.
After a scoreless first half,
Amanda Porter broke the seal in the 49th minute, with the help of
Jill Aguilera. Senior midfielder
Kennedy Kieneker sealed the victory with her first two goals of the season in the 55th and 72nd minute of the match, with assists from Porter on each.
The Cats took a total of 29 shots tonight, eight of which were on goal. Aguilera,
Morgan McGarry, and Kieneker were tied as shot leaders, all with four shots.
Lainey Burdett only had to make three saves, and earned her seventh shutout of the season.
Arizona, now 11-4-2, is on a three-game winning streak after beating both Washington and Washington State this past weekend. Next Up, the Wildcats will face Oregon on Sunday, October 28th at noon in Eugene, Ore.
