RANDOLPH'S IMPROVEMENT
Sophomore
Brandon Randolph has started his sophomore season in style. Randolph has scored in double figures in all 10 games this season and is averaging 17.1 points per game. As a freshman last season, Randolph played in 31 games, drawing four starting assignments. He averaged 3.7 points per game, scoring a total of 116 points. Randolph's scoring increase of 13.4 points per game is the biggest of any player in a Power 5 Conference. Jordan Nwora from Louisville is second with an increase of 12.5. It's also the largest increase from one season to the next by any Arizona player since at least 1996. The previous best was a 10.2 increase by Luke Walton from 2000-01 to 2001-02. Walton went from 5.5 points per game to 15.7. He is the only Wildcat to make a double digit increase in that time span. Randolph has also surpassed his rebounding total as a freshman. He had 26 rebounds last season and already has 31 this year. Randolph is the first Arizona guard to score in double figures in each of the first 10 games of the season since Gabe York in 2016. He's one of six players in the Pac-12 this season to score in double figures in each of his team's games.
