Missed the entire season following off-season knee surgery.
Freshman Season (2018-19)
Pac-12 All-Freshman Team Honorable Mention selection... Played in 26 games with 21 starts in his debut season with the Wildcats...Missed six games with an injury...Scored in double figures in 17 games and led the Wildcats in assists on 10 occasions...In second-ever collegiate game, posted eight assists and no turnovers in win over Cal Poly (11/11), becoming first Arizona freshman since Khalid Reeves in 1990 to post eight assists to no turnovers in a game...Followed that up with a season-high 21 points on 6 of 12 shooting against UTEP (11/14)...Scored 14 points with six assists in opening win of the Maui Invitational against Iowa State (11/19)...Posted 13 points on 8 of 9 shooting from the free throw line in Maui Invitational semifinals against Gonzaga (11/20)...Notched the first double-double of his career against Utah Valley (12/6), scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds...Scored 16 points on 6 of 11 shooting at Alabama (12/9)...Made a splash in his first-ever Pac-12 game, scoring 14 points and dishing out six assists against Colorado (1/3)...Had a conference-high 20 points against Oregon State (1/19), going 5 of 10 from the field and adding five assists...Scored 19 points in 32 minutes at UCLA (1/26)...Scored 10 points and added four rebounds in 20 minutes at win at Oregon State (2/28)...Scored 13 points and added six rebounds in first round of Pac-12 Tournament against USC (3/13)...Averaged 11.7 points per game in 12 Pac-12 contests...Averaged 3.3 assists per game, ranking 12th in the Pac-12 Conference...Shot .819 from the free throw line on the season, which ranked seventh in the conference...Posted a 1.9 assist-to-turnover ratio, which ranked fifth in the conference and tops for all freshmen.

Consensus Top 40 recruit for the class of 2018 by major recruiting services… Rated as one of the top three prospects in the state of California for his class… Averaged 24.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.4 steals per game as a high school senior… Played prep basketball at powerhouse Crespi Carmelite High whose alumni include former Virginia guard London Perrantes… Named Los Angeles Daily News 2017-18 Player of the Year… Erupted for 43 points in CIF playoffs versus Chino Hills in March of 2018 while also scoring 52 points in a game against Alemany High earlier that season… Missed junior season of high school to have surgery on a on a genetic condition in his knee otherwise would have been a McDonald’s All-American.
