Pac-12 Championships Recap
Arizona women's swimming and diving finished fifth overall at the Pac-12 Championships with a total score of 932.5. The Cats earned an NCAA A cut in the 400 and 800 free relays, and a B cut in the 400 medley relay. Individually, the women placed in the top-eight fourteen times.
Sophomore
Kirsten Jacobsen earned three all-time top-time performances at Pac-12s. The sophomore placed sixth in the 200 free to move up to eighth in school history, finished fourth in the 500 free to hold the eighth fastest time, and earned bronze in the 1,650 free to move up to fifth in Arizona history.
Freshman
Delaney Schnell represented Arizona well in diving, earning a spot in all three finals. In the 1 and 3 meter dives, she placed fifth. In the platform, she finished runner-up.
NCAA Championships Information
A total of 281 selected swimmers will compete at NCAAs this season. The Cats qualified seven individual swimmers and one diver.
Hannah Cox – 500 free, 1,650 free
Kirsten Jacobsen – 200 free, 500 free, 1,650 free
Katrina Konopka – 50 free
Mallory Korenwinder – 100 breast
Cameron McHugh – 200 back
Mackenzie Rumrill – 100 fly
Delaney Schnell – 1 meter, platform
Jamie Stone – 50 free
Morgan Ginnis and
Ashley Sutherland will be the additional relay swimmers for Arizona. In total, the Wildcats will be taking two freshmen, three sophomores, three juniors, and two seniors to Columbus.
Arizona in the Rankings
All seven individual swimmers representing Arizona in Ohio are in the top-50 in their respective event, including three top-20. Jacobsen holds the highest ranked spot, at thirteenth, in the 500 free, and also holds the nineteenth fastest time in the country in the 1,650 free. Cox is currently twentieth in the 1,650 free as well.
