Berg and Cindric Represent Arizona at NCAA Regionals

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Arizona gymnastics sent two individuals to compete in the 2018 NCAA Regional competition in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on April 7. Sophomore Christina Berg and senior Madison Cindric represented Arizona on the uneven bars apparatus (Berg), and all-around competition (Cindric).

"I'm extremely proud of how Chrissy and Madison competed today and how they represented Arizona," said head coach John Court. "I would also like to say thank you to Michigan and Illinois for embracing our athletes during the meet and showing true sportsmanship." 

Berg had a solid uneven bars routine for a score of 9.775. This season Berg had nine scores of 9.800 or higher and she set her career high of 9.925 on bars while on the road at Arkansas on March 2. She will return in the 2019 season as a junior for the GymCats.
 
Cindric competed on four events in the Tuscaloosa Regional, earning an all-around score of 39.225. She earned a 9.775 on vault, 9.850 on bars, 9.825 on beam, and 9.775 on floor. Cindric has been a consistent all-around competitor for Arizona this season, and currently holds a career high of 9.875 on vault, 9.925 on bars, 9.950 on beam, 9.9875 on floor, and a 39.40 in the all-around. This was Cindric's final competition wearing an Arizona leotard and after today she will be considered an Arizona gymnastics alumna.

This marks the official end of Arizona gymnastics 2018 season. Information regarding summer camps, spring practice and events, and the upcoming 2019 season will be released at a later date. Bear down!
