Thompson, Gehr to Compete in Pac-12 Multi Events Championships

Tucson, Ariz. – Senior Alyssa Thompson and freshman Dominic Gehr are set to compete in the Pac-12 Multi Events Championships on Saturday, May 12th in Palo Alto, Calif. The two-day competition is set to begin at noon MST at Stanford's Cobb Track and Angel Field.

Thompson posted a personal best in the heptathlon at the Jim Click Multi's with a score of 5,596. The Tucson native earned a second-place finish in the combined events, ending the competition as the top collegian. Her mark is good for the No. 13 score on the NCAA list and the No. 3 score in the Pac-12 Conference.

Gehr earned a score of 6,709 at the Jim Click Multis in his first collegiate decathlon. He finished in second place, earning eight points towards the team score. The freshman holds the No. 3 score in the Pac-12 Conference.
