Social Media Recap: Trevor Hoffman Inducted into Hall of Fame

Hoffman, who played shortstop at Arizona before developing into one of the most dominant relief pitchers in baseball history, spoke directly about his time in Tucson during his speech Sunday afternoon. Of playing for the Wildcats, Hoffman said: "My next landing spot was Arizona where I got to play for Jerry Kindall. His attention to detail was off the charts... At Arizona, I learned the value of teamwork playing alongside future MLB players J.T. Snow, Kevin Long, Lance Dickson and Scott Erickson."
Hoffman also mentioned Kindall's assistants, Jim Wing and Jerry Stitt, during his speech. Stitt and several of Hoffman's former teammates at Arizona made the trip to Cooperstown. They all attended a reception Saturday night and posed for a picture with Hoffman, while all displaying the Wildcat hand symbol.
