Season Tickets Sales Surging as Sumlin Era Arrives

With nearly 6,000 new season tickets sold this year, Arizona football has added its most new season ticket holders since 2010.

TUCSON, Ariz. – When Kevin Sumlin was hired as Arizona's head coach back in January, one thing was very clear: Wildcat fans were excited for the new era of football.

In the months since, the energy and anticipation for the 2018 season has continued to grow. Now as the hours tick down to kickoff against BYU on Saturday night, it's a final chance for Arizona football fans to jump on board and become a season ticket holder.

This offseason, nearly 6,000 new season ticket orders have been placed. That is the most new orders received heading into an Arizona football season since 2010. And there's still time for that number to climb.

"Without question the energy and excitement around Arizona Football is reaching an all time high," Vice President and Director of Athletics Dave Heeke said. "Head coach Kevin Sumlin and his staff are ushering in a new era of Wildcat Football with an outstanding group of players. I can't wait to see Arizona Stadium filled with a sea of red and blue."

The 2018 home schedule features one of the best slates in years. It's filled with marquee home games, such as the Sept. 1 home opener vs. BYU, Sept. 29 vs. USC, Oct. 27 vs. Oregon on Homecoming weekend, and the rivalry game vs. ASU on Nov. 24.

There are also numerous improvements to the UA football gameday experience, starting with the lowering of ticket prices in 2018. Three price levels have been lowered across 17 sections of Arizona Stadium. Season tickets now start at only $70 for all seven home games ($35 for kids ages 3-12). Our convenient payment plan options return, so you can split your payments into monthly installments.

Other gameday changes include new food venders such as eegee's, Sabor de Tucson, Epic Café and Brushfire BBQ, along with the expansion of beer and wine sales. Credit card machines have been added to enable all concessions to have at least one register that accepts credit cards. Further, the east of Arizona Stadium, including the ZonaZoo student section, has new concession stands, restrooms and social gathering areas.

Additionally, a new public address announcer and increased performances from the Pride of Arizona will be featured throughout the game day experience. And don't be surprised by the fireworks after every Wildcats touchdown this season.
