Quotable
When being asked about his choice, Middleton said, "I chose Arizona because the coaching staff, the team, and the business school. Coach Clancy and Coach Maciek are two of the best and most driven coaches in college tennis. The team is really close and they fight for each other on court which was a very big part of choosing the school." He was then asked about his goals going into college, "My goals for the team are two words. National championship. That's all I want in my four years. If that comes with individual success awesome. But as long as we are winning a national championship. I don't care what happens."
Clancy Shields had this to say about his new American recruit, "I'm so happy for this day, and to finally welcome Jett to our program. It feels like he has already been apart of our Arizona family for over a year and he has shown a tremendous amount of loyalty in supporting our team. I see a lot of myself in Jett and we instantly hit it off when his recruitment began. I love the passion he brings, his competitive nature, and his desire to be a champion. We have high expectations for Jett, we know his potential is off the charts, and we are both committed to putting in the hard work to realize his goals and dreams. Keep a close eye on this talented player, his future is extremely bright!"
