Freshman Chase Sienkiewicz, playing as an individual, finished even par. He shot two consecutive rounds of 69, sinking nine birdies over the three days. Sienkiewicz finished the tournament tied for 26th place.
"We did our best to get things going today," said Head Coach Jim Anderson. "The course was challenging and we just didn't make enough putts. Looking back, we didn't manage the par fives as well as we are capable. It will be great for us to use this experience as we have had chances to win several times this fall. Trevor stepped up today, especially with an exciting finish. Overall, we are very proud of this team at the midway point and we will enjoy a little break before coming out hungry in the spring.
