LIHU'E, Hawai'i- Arizona men's golf concluded play at the John Burns Intercollegiate with a score of 858 (-6). The team finished 7th out of 20 teams after a strong final round.
The Cats went five-under in the third round and tallied 14 birdies on the front nine alone. Arizona made par 169 times throughout the three-day event, the second most in the competition.
Senior
Ethan Marcus led the Cats throughout the tournament and finished in a tie for 16
th, scoring 212 (-4). His final round of 69 was the lowest individual round of the competition for Arizona and his third lowest career 18-hole score.
David Laskin finished tied in 39
th with a score of 216 (E). The junior from Northern California ranked first in par three scoring, averaging 2.92.
Sophomore
Trevor Werbylo and junior
Briggs Duce both finished in a tie for 48
th, scoring 218 (+2). Werbylo tabbed four birdies on the front nine of the final round to bring him up from 58
th after yesterday's round.
Junior
Brad Reeves wrapped up the tournament in 55
th, scoring 219 (+3).
Tianlang Guan, who competed as an individual, finished in 22
nd, his highest finish this season, scoring 213 (-3), his lowest tournament score for 2018-19.
