OFF THE TOP
  • Arizona returns home to host Washington and Washington State after a three-game road trip. Arizona has won four straight home games against Washington and has been victorious in nine of the past 10 meetings against the Huskies in Tucson.
  • The Wildcats are 95-5 at home in their last 100 home games, which dates back to the 2012-13 season. Arizona's 92-5 mark at home since the start of the 2013-14 season is tops nationally.
  • Arizona has committed nine or fewer turnovers in three straight conference games for the first time since the 2013-14 season. The Wildcats have 25 total turnovers in their last three games.
  • The Wildcats are averaging 11.3 turnovers per game, which is the fewest of any team in the Pac-12. Arizona has a turnover margin of +3.8, which leads the Pac-12, and is 15th-best in the country.
  • Redshirt junior Dylan Smith is shooting 46 percent from 3-point range in nine conference games, which is the sixth-best mark in the league. Smith shot 29 percent from deep in 13 non-conference games this season.
  • Senior point guard Justin Coleman is coming off a season-high nine assists against Arizona State. He committed just two turnovers.
  • Sophomore Brandon Randolph is the only player who has started all nine conference games for the Wildcats. He has scored in double figures in 20 of 22 games this season. His scoring increase of 11.3 points per game from last season is the second-best mark of Power 5 players averaging 13 or more points per game.
  • Arizona is averaging 13,657 fans per game at McKale Center, which is the top home attendance mark in the Pac-12.
AT HOME WITH SEAN MILLER
Under Sean Miller, Arizona has been flat-out dominant inside McKale Center. In their last 100 home games, the Wildcats are 95-5. The first game of that 100-game sample was a 70-52 win over Thursday's opponent, Washington, on Feb. 20, 2013. All total, the Wildcats are 147-16 at home under Miller and 74-11 in Pac-12 home contests. Arizona is 10-2 in home games this season and has lost two or fewer games in eight of Miller's 10 seasons with the Wildcats. In its 12 home games this season, Arizona is outscoring opponents by 12.8 points per game.

AT HOME WITH THE HUSKIES
Arizona is 31-7 all-time at home against Washington and has won nine of the past 10 matchups in Tucson against the Huskies. Sean Miller's lone home loss to Washington came in 2012 when the Huskies topped the Wildcats 69-67 at McKale Center. Arizona has won four straight against Washington in Tucson, but haven't hosted the Huskies since Jan. 29, 2017 when the Wildcats won 77-66. The Wildcats had an eight-game winning streak overall in the series snapped last season when Washington beat Arizona 78-75 in Seattle.

TAKING CARE OF THE BALL
The Wildcats have posted single-digit turnovers in three straight games for the first time since the final three games of the 2016-17 season. It's the first time Arizona has committed single-digit turnovers in at least three straight conference games since 2013-14 when the Cats did it in four straight against Colorado, California, Stanford and Oregon State. Arizona ranks 33rd in the country and tops in the Pac-12 in turnovers per game at 11.3. The Cats have a +3.8 turnover margin on the season, which is the 15th best mark in the country and leads the Pac-12. The next closest is California at +2.3. Arizona has a +4.7 turnover margin in conference games only, which is second to Oregon at +4.8.

SMITH PICKS UP THE SLACK
In 13 non-conference games, Dylan Smith shot 29 percent from 3-point range, hitting 13 of 45 attempts. He averaged 5.1 points per game and shot 30 percent from the floor all total in 20.6 minutes per game. In nine conference games, it's been a different story for the redshirt junior from Mobile, Alabama. Smith has greatly improved from deep. He's connected on 17 of 37 attempts for a .459 percentage. He's shooting 36 percent from the floor and is averaging 25.1 minutes per game. Smith has had to play several different positions for the Wildcats with limited personnel at times. Smith started at the power forward position against USC, and often sees time at the small forward spot and shooting guard. Smith is 8 of 10 from the free throw line in Pac-12 games after going 13 for 21 in non-conference play. Smith's 17 3-pointers in conference games lead the team. Smith has also hit at least one 3-pointer in six straight games, which is the longest streak of his Arizona career. His previous high was four.

LUTHER GETS HOT
Senior forward Ryan Luther is coming off his finest offensive performance of the season Thursday against Arizona State. Luther started and played a season-high 39 minutes against the Sun Devils. He scored a season-high 19 points on 6 of 10 shooting. Luther was 5 of 8 from deep, establishing a new career high in 3-pointers made and attempted. Luther added a pair of free throws and also had three assists, marking the third time this season in 22 games Luther has had three or more assists. Luther also grabbed five offensive rebounds -- his second-highest output of the season -- and had nine total rebounds to go with his 19 points. The Pittsburgh transfer also had two steals and has at least one steal in all nine conference games this season. In conference play this season, Luther is averaging 9.0 points per game. He averaged 5.8 points per game in 13 non-conference games.

CONNECTING AT THE LINE
Arizona has proven to be one of the top teams in the conference from the free throw line and the Wildcats are among the league leaders in the category. Arizona is shooting .744 from the line and rank second in the Pac-12,  seven percentage points behind Washington State. Like they have done from the 3-point line, the Wildcats have been even better from the free throw line in league games. The Wildcats are 137 for 181 (.757) from the line in nine conference games. On the season, the Wildcats have five players -- Brandon Randolph, Justin Coleman, Brandon Williams, Ira Lee and Ryan Luther -- shooting 76 percent or better from the free throw line with at least 25 attempts. Randolph leads the team with an .850 mark, connecting on 68 of 80 attempts. Justin Coleman is also above 80 percent at .815. He has hit 44 of 54 attempts this season, and was 6 of 6 last time out against Arizona State. On the flip side, Arizona's opponents are shooting just .653 from the line this season.

BENCH PRODUCTION
Arizona's bench outscored Arizona State's 14-6 on Thursday, continuing a strong season from Arizona's bench crew this season. The Wildcats' bench has outscored the opponent in 15 of 22 games this season, and have tied once more, meaning Arizona's bench has only been outscored six times this season. The bench has combined for 20 or more points in five of the last eight games. Arizona's bench has outscored its opponent in nine of the past 11 games. Of Arizona's primary rotation players, only Alex Barcello and Devonaire Doutrive have come off the bench in every game this season. Ira Lee has come off the bench in 19 of his 21 games.

MR. 2ND HALF
Sophomore Brandon Randolph is Arizona's leading scorer at 15.0 points per game and has scored in double figures in 20 of 22 games this season. As good as Randolph has been all season, he's been at his best in the game's second 20 minutes. Consider: Randolph is averaging 9.7 points per contest in the second half of games and is shooting 48 percent from the floor. In the first half, Randolph averages 5.0 points per contest on 32 percent shooting. Randolph is 19 of 23 from the free throw line in the first half of games and 47 of 55 in the second half and overtimes. Proving he welcomes the big moment, Randolph is 28 of 29 from the free throw line in the final five minutes of games this season. Randolph also shoots 43 percent from 3 in the second half and 21 percent in the first.

1,000 AND COUNTING
Senior Justin Coleman notched his 1,000th career point against Oregon State. The Birmingham, Alabama native began his career at Alabama before transferring to Samford and eventually Arizona for his senior season. Coleman had 14 points against the Beavers and eight more against USC. He then popped off for 19 points at Arizona State and was 3 of 5 from 3-point range in the game. Coleman now has 1,039 points in his four-year career. Coleman had one of his best games of the season against Oregon State in Arizona's most recent home game. He played 35 minutes and added five assists, four rebounds and a career-high five steals to his 14 points. Against Arizona State last Thursday, Coleman played 44 of 45 minutes in the overtime affair. He led all players in the game in minutes. Coleman also had a season-high nine assists to just two turnovers against the Sun Devils.

DROPPING DIMES
Arizona's assist production has picked up in conference play, something coach Sean Miller attributes to better shot selection. The Wildcats have at least 13 assists in seven of nine conference games, and had 15 in their most recent outing against Arizona State. Arizona posted 17 assists against Oregon State in its most recent home game. In Arizona's 13 non-conference games, the Wildcats had 13 or more assists just five times total. Senior Justin Coleman and freshman Brandon Williams are leading the way for Arizona in conference play. Coleman has 36 assists, while Williams has 28. Dylan Smith, Ryan Luther and Brandon Randolph are all averaging at least an assist per game in the early going of conference play. Randolph has 10 assists in nine conference games. He had 11 in 13 non-conference games. Luther has 16 assists in nine conference games, after having 10 in 13 non-conference games.

LEE MAKING HIS MARK
Arizona has seen a rise in production from sophomore forward Ira Lee in Pac-12 play. Lee is averaging 7.7 points per game, 4.2 rebounds a contest and has 11 blocks in the nine games. The 6-foot-7-inch power forward is 27 of 52 from the floor and a 15 of 19 from the free throw line. Lee played a career-high 30 minutes and scored 11 points, and grabbed seven rebounds against UCLA. He scored in double figures in both games in Los Angeles. Lee had a strong trip to the Bay Area. He had a career-high 12 points against Stanford and followed that up with a five-block game against Cal, adding seven rebounds. Against Oregon, Lee had nine points in 18 minutes of action. Lee has scored five or points in 10 of his last 12 games. Prior to that, Lee had scored more than five points just four times in the previous 10 games. On the season, Lee has 85 rebounds. In 27 total games last season, he had just 62. He's already surpassed his totals in points and blocks as well as free throws made and attempted. Last time out against Arizona State, Lee made his second career start and had eight points and five rebounds in 19 minutes.
