Jeter Named to Pac-12 All-Academic Team

Redshirt junior center Chase Jeter has been named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First-Team, it was announced Tuesday by the conference.
 
Jeter, who graduated in December with an undergraduate degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences and Human Understanding, is a graduate student at Arizona. The Las Vegas native carries a 3.54 grade point average.
 
Jeter is Arizona's first All-Academic honoree since Kaleb Tarczewski earned honorable mention honors in 2013-14. A transfer from Duke, Jeter was a two-time Academic All-ACC selection for the Blue Devils in 2015-16 and 2016-17.
 
On the court, Jeter has played in 29 games this year with 26 starts. He's averaging 11.1 points per game and leads the team with 6.6 rebounds a contest. Jeter is fifth in the conference with his .589 field goal percentage.
 
Jeter was joined on the first-team by Oregon State's Zach Reichle, Stephen Thompson Jr., and Gligorije Rakocevic, Washington State's Jeff Pollard and Stanford's Isaac White. Thompson Jr., was named the Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
 
Jeter and the Wildcats are in action next on Wednesday at 12 p.m., MST, when they will take on USC in the opening round of the Pac-12 Conference Tournament.
