TUCSON, Ariz. – The 29th-ranked Arizona Wildcats (12-3) took down Liberty by a score of 6-1 on Thursday at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center to win their seventh-straight home match of the season.
 
Arizona took the doubles point with victories coming from courts two and three. Filip Malbasic and Alejandro Reguant made quick work on court two with a 6-2 victory while Stewart Block and Jonas Maier clinched the doubles point with a 6-4 win on court three.
 
Jonas Ziverts and Igor Karpovets were down 5-4 on court one against the 61st-ranked doubles team of Muamba/Burton when the match was clinched.
 
Carlos Hassey got things started for Arizona in singles play as he won his 10th match of the season 6-2, 6-2 on court five. Maier cruised on court six to win his ninth match of the season 6-1, 6-4 and Karpovets clinched the match for Arizona with a 6-4, 6-1 win on court three.
 
On court four, Reguant won in three sets 6-0, 5-7, 6-2 to give him his 10th win of the season. Malbasic rallied after dropping his first set to win his team-high 12th match of the season 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 and Ziverts went three sets with No. 109 Nicaise Muamba and dropped a tough three-set match 7-5, 5-7, 6-2.
