LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – The University of Arizona track and field team closed out the Mt. SAC Relays on Saturday, April 20th. Leading the Cats in Los Angeles was senior Tatum Waggoner.
 
Waggoner's Lap
In the 400-meter dash invitational, Waggoner clocked a time of 52.88. She finished eighth overall in a field of 21 mixed professional and collegiate athletes. She currently ranks third in the Pac-12 Conference this outdoor season with a time of 52.84 ran at the Jim Click Shootout.
 
Harvey's Hurdlers
Freshman James Smith and sophomore Maksims Sincukovs competed in the 400-meter hurdles on Saturday. Smith finished second in his heat with a time of 50.50 and Sincukovs took fifth with a mark of 51.55.
 
Jumpin' Like Justice
Junior Justice Summerset cleared 2.19m (7-2.25) in the invitational high jump contest. He finished as the third collegiate competitor, sixth overall.
 
Short Relays Have Strong Showing
The men's 4x100-meter relay team of sophomore Trevor Volpe, junior Zakee Washington, freshman PJ Austin and senior David Egbo took first in their heart with a time of 40.21. The ladies squad of seniors Tiana Bonds & Waggoner, junior Pamela White and freshman Neysia Howard registered a time of 45.63.
 
Up next, the Cats will host the Desert Heat Classic on Saturday, April 27th at Roy P. Drachman Stadium.
