AUSTIN, Texas. – Friday night at the NCAA Championships saw three Cats earn All-America Honors. Senior
Bailey Roth and freshman
James Smith earned first-team honors in their events and junior
Justice Summerset earned second-team honors.
Roth's Finale
In his fourth and final NCAA Championships, Roth clocked a time of 8:40.92 in the 3K steeplechase to finish fifth overall. The senior earned First-Team All-American Honors for the second time in his Wildcat career.
The Freshman is an All-American
Smith earned a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 49.72. The Arizona school & freshman record holder caps his freshman campaign as a First-Team All-American.
Jumpin like Justice
Summerset closed out the NCAA Championships in a tie for 12th in the high jump discipline. The Tucson native cleared 2.18 (7-.75) to earn Second-Team All-America Honors.
Karla Teran will be the lone Cat competing tomorrow in the high jump at 3 p.m. MST.
