TUCSON, Ariz. – The Arizona men's and women's cross country teams are set to begin the 2019 season on Saturday morning as they will host the Cactus Open at Silverlake Park (2420 South Kino Pkwy).

The women's 2.7-mile race will begin at 6:45 a.m. MST, followed by the men's 3.7-mile race at 7:10 a.m. MST. Admission to the meet is free of charge.

The Cactus Open is the first of two meets Arizona will host with the Dave Murray Invitational taking place on Friday, Sept. 13.

Last season, Arizona sent
Carlos Villarreal and
Addi Zerrenner to the NCAA Cross Country Championships. Both Villarreal and Zerrenner finished in the top 15 individually at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships as well.
