TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Cross Country is set to host their annual home meet, the Dave Murray Invitational, on Saturday at the Tucson Country Club.

The competition begins at 7:00 a.m. MST with the men's 8k and finishes with the women's 6k at 7:35 a.m. MST. The races will be run at the Tucson Country Club Golf Course. Other competing teams include Arizona State, Grand Canyon, New Mexico St., UTEP, and Pima Community College. Entry is free and open to the public. Live results for Saturday can be found here.

"We are excited to stretch our legs and host the Dave Murray Invitational. It's going to be great to honor our legendary Coach Murray, and our athletes are excited for their second meet of the fall," said Head Coach Jay Koloseus.

The Wildcats were last in action at the NAU George Kyte Classic in Flagstaff, Ariz. At the competition, the men's team placed second and the women's team finished third. The men were led by freshman Bryson Nielsen, who finished first for the team and seventh overall in the 4.5-mile with a time of 22:58.5. For the women, sophomore Brooklyn Hanania was the top finisher, as she placed 6th overall in the 2.5-mile with a time of 15:49.9.

Runners two through six for the men were Michael Urbanski, Cooper Quigley, Max Liao, Mateo Pimienta, and Kai Espinosa Golinski. Urbanski placed 12th overall, Quigley finished 13th, and Liao ended in 22nd. Runners two through seven for the women were Laina Friedmann, Amelia North, Kayla Lark, Kara Mickelson, Hailey Puklin, and Eleanor Korten Kamp. Friedmann finished 9th overall, North finished 12th, and Lark ended in 23rd.
