Arizona Opens Up Fall Season in Las Cruces

Las Cruces, N.M. - Arizona travels to Las Cruces to start the fall season at the Aggie Invitational. Representing Arizona will be junior Stewart Block, sophomores Connor Olsen and Jared Horwood, and freshman Hiroki Sakagawa. The four will compete Friday, Sept. 13 until Sunday, Sept. 15.
Block finished last season with a 7-10 doubles record, including six doubles win at the number three spot in the lineup. Horwood was held out of action during the spring due to an injury, but will look to bounce back this fall. He won three of his singles matches last fall season.
Olsen goes into this season after achieving a 6-5 singles record, as well as winning his only doubles match last spring. Sakagawa debuts for Arizona as a two-time national doubles champion and runner-up three times while in Japan. Sakagawa also earned the No. 185 spot in ITF Junior Rankings.
