
Men's Golf Concludes First Day of Maui Jim Intercollegiate

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The Arizona men's golf program completed the first day of play at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate in Scottsdale. The Wildcats are sitting in third place with a total score of 268, just behind Clemson (265) and Arizona State (262).
Senior Briggs Duce is the highest on the leaderboard for Arizona after an opening-round 64. Duce shot a 32 on the front and a 32 on the back for his round of 6-under. He picked up seven birdies on his round to just one bogey and birdied three of his last five holes.
Freshman Aidric Chan put up the second-best score for the Wildcats with a 66 and is currently tied for fourth in his first collegiate event. Chan shot 7-under on his final 16 holes birdied five of the final seven holes on the front nine.
Junior Trevor Werbylo and seniors David Laskin and Brad Reeves, are all currently tied for 30th place at 1-under par. All three golfers put up scores of 69 in the first round.
