PALOS VERDES, Calif. -- The Arizona women's golf team concluded its week at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on Tuesday, finishing the tournament in a tie for 13th place at 38-over. The Duke Blue Devils took home the title, shooting 5-under on the week.
Freshman
Gile Bite Starkute posted her best round as a Wildcat today, making five birdies on her way to a round of 71 (E). Starkute's round moved her into a tie for 71st at 17-over. Junior
Hollie Muse ended the week with a nice round of 72, and had the best individual finish for the Cats, tying for 25th.
Freshman
Therese Warner added three more birdies to her tournament tally, but couldn't quite find the magic she had yesterday. Warner shot a final-round 79 (+8) to end the week at 9-over and in a tie for 44th. Fellow freshman
Kailie Vongsaga had her best round of the week, making three birdies en route to a final-day 74. Senior
Sandra Nordaas ended her week with a round of 80 and in a tie with Starkute at 17-over.
"It's a disappointing finish, but luckily it's early in the season," said head coach
Laura Ianello.
The Cats will be back in action at the Hurricane Invitational in Coral Gables, Fla. on March 2nd.
