CORAL GABLES, Fla. --The Arizona women's golf team is heading to Florida to compete in Hurricane Invitational. The Cats are looking to bounce back after finishing in a tie for 13th at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge a couple weeks ago.
Freshman Vivian Hou is now the top-ranked collegiate player in the country, and will be in the lineup for the Hurricane Invitational. Vivian finished in fourth place or better in four of the five fall events she competed in. She is also ranked second in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. This will be Vivian's first appearance of the spring season.
Also making their spring debuts are junior Yu-Sang Hou and sophomore Ya Chun Chang. Yu-Sang only competed in three fall events, but finished inside the top 20 in all three. Chang played in all five fall events, never finishing outside of the top 26.
Freshman Therese Warner and junior Hollie Muse are returning to the lineup after competing in the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. Muse and Warner were the top two performers for the Cats, finishing 25th and 44th respectively.
The Hurricane Invitational begins with a shotgun start at 6 a.m. MST on Monday. The second round will also be played on Monday, after round one is completed.
