Wildcats to Host Dave Murray Invitational

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Cross Country is set to compete in their last regular season meet on Friday at the annual Dave Murray Invitational.
The races will take place at Rolling Hills Golf Club beginning with the men's 8k at 9:00 a.m. MST followed by the women's 6k at 9:45 a.m. MST. In accordance with COVID-19 safety protocol, there will be no spectators allowed for this meet.
The Wildcats will be competing against Arizona State, UCLA, California and New Mexico State. 17 Wildcats will be racing, including Brandon Bounds who will be making his career debut.
Last time out, Keelah Barger was Arizona's top finisher, winning the women's 6k with a time of 21:41.3. The women placed three athletes in the top ten with freshman Grace Driskill finishing in fifth place and Peyton Heiden in 10th. On the men's side, Shem Kemboi placed sixth with an 8k time of 25:47.9. He was joined in the top 10 by Galvin Curley who clocked 26:48.0.
