TUCSON, Ariz. --Â The Arizona Wildcats (1-2) dropped game three of a four-game set to the visiting Ball State Cardinals (2-1) on a final score of 5-2 on Sunday afternoon.Â
The Wildcats took an early 2-0 lead on an RBI single from
Donta' Williams and a sac fly off the bat of
Tony Bullard, but couldn't hold on. Ball State scored once in the fifth and pulled ahead for good with a four-run sixth inning rally.
Arizona starting pitcher, left-hander
Garrett Irvin, worked just 1.2 innings on a limited pitch count. He allowed just one hit and no runs while striking out one. He did not factor into the decision.
