TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona GymCats travel north to Tempe for their second road meet with the No. 7 Arizona State Gym Devils in as many weeks. Saturday's meet is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. MST, with a live webcast provided by Arizona State.
The GymCats earned a 1st place finish in their tri meet last weekend in Colorado. Arizona's 194.350 topped Air Force and Texas Woman's University.
In their last meeting on Feb. 24, the GymCats posted a 194.750 to finish behind the Gym Devils, who scored 197.450 as a team.

COACH COURT EXTENDED: Arizona Gymnastics head coach
John Court has agreed to a three-year contract extension that will see him lead the GymCats through the 2024 season. Court, who is currently in his third season managing Arizona Gymnastics, has been with the program for 23 years. In his two-plus decades in Tucson, coach Court's overall body or work includes developing multiple All-Americans, helping extend the GymCats NCAA Regional appearance streak to 31 seasons, overseeing unprecedented success in the classroom, and much more.
TEMPE, PART 2: The GymCats return to Tempe for a second matchup with Arizona State in as many weeks. Arizona posted a score of 194.750 at Desert Financial Arena on Feb. 24. The GymCats are fresh off their first win of the season, taking first place at a tri meet with Air Force and Texas Woman's University on a score of 194.350 last weekend.
YOUTH MOVEMENT: The GymCats roster is loaded with young talent in 2021, with 15-of-19 players being freshmen or sophomores. Arizona has relied heavily on these underclassmen in 2021, using them for 121-of-143 routines thus far.
COACHING STAFF: The 2021 Wildcats are led by third-year head coach
John Court, third-year assistant coach
Taylor Spears, and first-year assistant coach
Peter Jansson. Following decades of coaching across multiple levels of gymnastics, former Wildcats assistant coach of five years,
David McCreary, announced his retirement in early January.
STATE 48: The Wildcats 2021 roster features six student-athletes from the state of Arizona, including three local products hailing from Tucson: freshman
Madison Courney, junior
MacKinzie Kane, and freshman
Halli Mayberry. The six Arizonans represent nearly a third of the Wildcats roster.
