Arizona Sweeps Frisco College Baseball Classic

FRISCO, Texas — The Arizona Wildcats (10-2) pulled away from Missouri (3-7) with a four-run seventh inning on Sunday afternoon to win, 8-4, and complete their sweep of the Frisco College Baseball Classic.
Arizona has now won nine games in a row, and is averaging 11.6 runs per game over that stretch.
The Wildcats took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second inning with back-to-back home runs from Branden Boissiere and Jacob Berry. Missouri quickly responded with three runs of their own in the bottom half of the frame to tie the game.
The Cats retook the lead in the sixth on heads-up base running from Boissiere and put the game out of reach with a four spot in the seventh. It was a complete effort from the Arizona offense, as they drew 10 hits and six walks, with three players driving in multiple runs.
Starting pitcher TJ Nichols (3-0) remained perfect on the year after working 5.2 innings and allowing just three runs on five hits. He struck out six and issued just one walk on 96 pitches to earn the win.
The Arizona bullpen was lights out, allowing just one run on four hits and striking out four over the remainder.
