Ortiz-Rivera Wins 5000m at Antelope Invitational

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Arizona Track and Field closed out their third meet of the outdoor season on Saturday at the Antelope Invitational, sending a total of 17 distance runners to compete.
Highlights
Victor Ortiz-Rivera won the men's 5000m, clocking a time 13:59.85. Shem Kemboi came in behind Ortiz-Rivera, finishing fifth with a time of 14:42.73.
Camron Herron picked up a PR in the 800m, clocking 1:49.97 to finish second. He came in just behind Arizona Track alum Carlos Villarreal who was competing as an unattached post-collegiate athlete. On the women's side, Alisa Lyesina ran a time of 2:11.37 to finish eighth.
Peyton Heiden was the women's top finisher in the 1500m, finishing 11th with a time of 4:33.70. Maddy Christopher and Megan Bounds also picked up PRs in the event. In the men's race, Christian Montoya also ran a PR.
Grace Driskill led the Wildcats in the 5000m, finishing seventh with a time of 17:15.53. Keelah Barger and Bailey Johnson also finished in the top 10.
