PHOENIX, Ariz. -- The Arizona Wildcats (1-0-1) finished their final exhibition match of the season in a 0-0 draw against GCU (0-0-1). Played in three periods of thirty minutes, the Wildcats were able to dominate in their attacking third for almost 40% of the match.
The Wildcats out shot the Lopes 13-10 with an on goal difference of 7-4. The main shooters were redshirt senior
Jill Aguilera who took three shots with two on goal and sophomores
Jordan Hall and
Nicole Dallin who took 2 shots with one each being on goal. Veteran goalkeeper
Hope Hisey spent 60 minutes in the box and picked up 2 saves. Freshman keeper
Grace Klosinski made her second debut in the box, playing 30 minutes and making 2 saves. In the end, neither team was able to create an opportunity to put themselves on the board, resulting in the Cats first draw of the season.
UP NEXT
The Wildcats will open up the regular season on the road against Utah Valley. The pair will face off on Friday, Aug. 20 at 6 p.m. MST.
