Cross Country to Compete at UC Riverside Invitational

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona cross country will travel 13 athletes to Riverside, Calif. for the UC Riverside Invitational, the team's second meet of the season, on Saturday, Sep. 18.

Competition is set to begin at 7:15 a.m. MST with the women's 6k race followed by the men's 8k at 7:50 a.m.. Live results for both races can be found here.

Last time out, the women placed second and the men finished fourth at the George Kyte Invitational in Flagstaff, Ariz. Grace Driskill led the women's team in the 2.5 mile race, crossing the finish line in 16:00.7 to take seventh. She was followed by Meggie Karp in 11th with a time of 16:19.1. Five Wildcats finished in the top 20 including Peyton Heiden, Maddy Christopher and Megan Bounds in 20th. On the men's side, Shem Kemboi was Arizona's top finisher with a 4.5 mile PR time of 23:53.3 and a 12th place finish. He was followed by Bradley Rzewnicki who clocked a time of 24.26.5 to take 19th.
