SAN FRANCISCO - The Arizona women's basketball team was chosen to finish second in the Pac-12 Preseason Media Poll and third in the Pac-12 Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

The Wildcats return All-America honorable mention honoree Cate Reese for the 2022-23 in addition to Preseason All-Pac-12 Team member Shaina Pellington. Head Coach Adia Barnes added 2022 All-Pac-12 honoree Jade Loville as well as a pair of All-Big 12 honorees in Esmery Martinez and Lauren Fields. Barnes' freshman class for the 2023 was the highest-ranked class in program history.

Arizona finished the 2021-22 season in fourth in the Pac-12 and hosted the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament in the McKale Center.
