As we continue our 2022 Arizona Football season at No. 9 UCLA on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. (MST) on FOX, I am excited to see our strong base of alumni and supporters at the Rose Bowl. Southern California is home to a lot of members of the Wildcat Family, and I am always proud to see Wildcats wearing the colors in the stands and filling it with our U of A chants.

Next week marks the beginning of a two-game homestand to end our season, and we have received kickoff times and television designations for both games. Our Military and Veteran Appreciation Game versus Washington State has been set for 12 p.m. (MST) on Saturday, Nov. 19 on Pac-12 Networks. Honoring the men and women who proudly serve our country is one of our athletic department's key celebrations throughout the year, and we hope to see you for a tremendous day at Arizona Stadium next Saturday. Purchase your single game tickets for our matchup against the Cougars.
The Territorial Cup is also set for a daytime kickoff on Friday, Nov. 25, which is the day after Thanksgiving. The annual match-up with the school up north is the nation's oldest rivalry trophy game, and the 2022 edition is set for 1 p.m. (MST) on Fox Sports 1. This is a marquee sporting event for our entire state, and we are expecting another large crowd for the 97th Territorial Cup. If you don't have your tickets yet for the game, please click here. The Arizona State game is also a RED OUT for fans, so bring your best red Wildcat gear to the game.
The 2022 season has been marked by a tremendous atmosphere inside Arizona Stadium as the Wildcat Family has showed up on gamedays to cheer on our football student-athletes, coaches and staff. Arizona Athletics takes pride in providing a first-class environment for our student-athletes to compete in and our fans to experience at all home events. Thank you for making an impact this football season, and I look forward to seeing the red and blue fill Arizona Stadium for the remainder of the season.

ARIZONA SOCCER SEASON
While we are disappointed that we didn't hear Arizona's name called in Monday's NCAA Soccer Tournament Selection Show, I want to recognize and highlight the outstanding season Coach Moros and the Wildcats had in 2022. The program was picked to finish last in the Pac-12 Conference and ended the season in the top half of the league while displaying our Bear Down spirit of determination along the way. The team defeated eighth-ranked USC for the first time in nearly a decade, which was also the program's highest ranked win in 15 years. Goalkeeper Hope Hisey was a Third Team All-Pac-12 selection for her quality play while Sami Baytosh earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Freshmen Team.
Congratulations to our soccer student-athletes, coaches and staff on a great season. The future of Arizona Soccer is bright, and we can't wait to see them back on the pitch again. Bear Down and Go Cats!

CELEBRATING NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH
Paying tribute to Native American heritage in our community is part of the fabric of the Wildcat Way at Arizona Athletics. Our athletics department will celebrate Native American Heritage Month in a variety of way, including special social media content from Native American student-athletes, hosting Native American Heritage Night at Women's Basketball's game versus LMU as well as special warm up shirts for all our teams competing. Our custom shirts shown above honors the Tohono O'odham nation and the Pascua Yaqui tribe.
We respectfully acknowledge the University of Arizona is on the land and territories of Indigenous peoples. Today, Arizona is home to 22 federally recognized tribes, with Tucson being home to the O'odham and the Yaqui. Committed to diversity and inclusion, the University strives to build sustainable relationships with sovereign Native Nations and Indigenous communities through education offerings, partnerships, and community service.

STUDENT-ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT
Hope Hisey, the star goalkeeper of Arizona Soccer, was featured in the premiere of the second season of the Bear Down Podcast. The official podcast of Arizona Athletics is hosted by former Arizona Softball All-American, and Wildcat for Life, Kenzie Fowler Quinn. The two chatted about Arizona's stellar season on the pitch as well as a special announcement regarding Hope's plans for the future.
The Bear Down Podcast is one of the many ways we highlight the outstanding young women and men in our athletic programs and tell their stories as points of pride for our department, university and community.
