MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - This week Arizona Swimming and Diving is set to compete alongside some of the top programs in the nation at their mid-season meet in Minneapolis. The event, hosted by the University of Minnesota, will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 30, and run through Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatics Center.
The invite is notorious for producing incredibly fast times, as athletes are looking to bring in personal bests as well as earn NCAA A and B cuts. The Wildcats certainly made their mark at the event last season, with three athletes — Brooks Fail, Julia Heimstead and Jade Neser — posting times that secured them a spot on Arizona's all-time top ten leaderboards. This time around, the Cats will be sharing the pool with the University of Texas, California, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Nevada Las Vegas and Harvard. Three of the seven schools competing currently have both their men's and women's teams ranked in the CSCAA Top 25.
The competitions will begin at 5:00 p.m. MST on Wednesday, and 9:00 a.m. MST on the following days. Live results will be uploaded to Meet Mobile as the meet unfolds, and the weekend will be streamed on NSPN.tv.
