EUGENE, Ore. – The second day of the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships saw both Arizona women's athletes earn All-American honors. Talie Bonds earned her spot in the 100m hurdles while Shannon Meisberger punched her ticket to the finals of the 400m hurdles.
 
Meisberger, who finished as the national runner-up in the 400m hurdles last year, found herself in the fastest of the three heats on Thursday. Her time of 55.79 was a season-best and good for third place in her heat to advance on to the Saturday's final. It was also the fourth-fastest time overall out of the three heats and just 0.09 off matching her PR in the event.
 
The senior from Massachusetts will run in the final of the 400m hurdles at 3:57 p.m. The race will be televised live on ESPN. By virtue of earning a spot in the finals, Meisberger has secured her second straight First Team All-American honor.
 
The last Arizona women's athlete to earn back-to-back First Team All-American honors was Sage Watson in the 400m hurdles in 2016 (3^rd) and 2017 (1^st).
 
Bonds entered the semifinals of the 100m hurdles with the 11^th best time in the country this season, but her time of 13.141 was not fast enough to advance her to Saturday's finals. She finished in 16^th place, 0.009 ahead of Micaela De Mello from Washington State, to earn the final spot on the All-American Second Team. It marks the first All-American honor for the native of Las Vegas.
