TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Baseball outfielder Tanner O'Tremba was selected by the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday, the final day of the 2022 Major League Baseball Draft.

O'Tremba's 15th-round selection was the 275th in program history and the second of the year.

Following two seasons at Texas Tech and 30 appearances with the Wildcats in 2021, O'Tremba enjoyed a breakout year in 2022 that culminated in a Pac-12 All-Conference selection. Across 64 starts for Arizona he logged a .351 batting average with 52 runs scored, 21 doubles, four triples, 11 home runs, and 56 RBI. He also drew 31 walks to help produce an impressive .446 on-base percentage. O'Tremba's 91 base knocks were second on the team and fifth in the Pac-12.

On defense, the Wildcats everyday starting right fielder registered a .991 fielding percentage on 114 chances and tallied three outfield assists.

Across four collegiate seasons O'Tremba helped his teams earn four NCAA Tournament appearances, highlighted by a pair of berths in the College World Series in 2019 and 2021.

In addition to the first All-Conference honors of his career in 2022, O'Tremba also earned a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-America team, the Coral Gables NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team, and one Pac-12 Player of the Week selection.
