TUCSON, Ariz. — The Wildcats defense was in prime form on Thursday morning, tallying a trio of interceptions and one forced fumble during team periods, yet another encouraging early camp sign from the unit looking to improve upon their six-turnover performance last season.
While the trend early in camp has been leaning the way of the defense, every day the offense shows signs of a unit loaded at the skill positions. Wide receiver
Jacob Cowing had a couple impressive plays on Thursday, including a deep reception from
Jayden de Laura.
As both units continue to improve and install their systems, the days to the season opener keep counting down: Just 23 days remain until the 2022 Cats strap the pads on for real.

Quote of the Day
"The thing I think about [
Jacob Cowing] is there's not many limitations to his game. He can go vertical, he can win man-to-man, and he's got the smarts and the savviness to adjust to some of that stuff in the slot some of those zone coverages." -Wide receivers coach
