TUCSON, Ariz. — The Wildcats upped the intensity on Friday morning as they strapped on shoulder pads for the first time in Fall Camp.
With the added protection came more drills, including 7-on-7 and multiple 11-on-11 periods. Both sides of the ball had their moments to shine during these team periods, including an interception from
Jaydin Young and a touchdown strike from
Jayden de Laura to freshman tight end
Keyan Burnett.
The Cats will enjoy a day off on Saturday before getting back to action on Sunday morning to kick off week two of camp.

Quote of the Day
"[
Jordan Morgan] has been a fantastic role model. He's been a beacon in the weight room. The guys follow him, they want to get behind him, and they want him to do great. He's been a great leader for our guys and our guys are ready to go to war with him." -Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach,
Brennan Carroll

Arizona offensive lineman
Jordan Morgan, who started 11 games at left tackle for the Wildcats last season, benefited from a massive growth spurt his sophomore year of high school. The towering lineman, who began his prep career as a quarterback and now clocks in at 6-foot-6 and 320 pounds, grew four inches and packed on 100 pounds over the course of that sophomore season.
