TUCSON, Ariz. — Tuesday morning's Fall Camp practice marked the first day of full pads for the Wildcats, and with it came live tackling and a tangible sense of excitement.
Both sides of the ball struck blows, literally and figuratively, in 11-on-11 drills spread across the South Beach field and the Dick Tomey Practice Field. Freshman running back
Rayshon Luke showed off with a pair of impressive runs, while the defense scooped up a fumble and nearly forced two more turnovers.
Now that the Wildcats are in full pads, preparation for week one can begin in earnest. Arizona's next big mile marker will come on Saturday, Aug. 13, their first scrimmage. The team will enjoy a day off on Wednesday before getting back to action on Thursday morning.

Quote of the Day
"[The energy in camp] is unbelievable. It starts the second we step into the building and it just carries on all through the day and all through the night. College football is a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of energy, and I think our coaching staff and Jedd and our strength staff, we've really focused on trying to generate that type of energy and enthusiasm." -Defensive backs coach
DeWayne Walker.
