SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Conference announced the first weekly honors of the 2023-24 season and Arizona guard Kylan Boswell was named the player of the week as voted on by the media that cover the conference.  
 
It is the first player of the week honor for the sophomore from Champaign, Ill., and the second weekly award in Boswell's career after he garnered freshman of the week accolades the final week of the regular season last year. 
 
In two games last week, Boswell averaged 15.0 points while shooting 65 percent from the floor and 6 of 10 from the 3-point line. He also added 6.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in wins over Morgan State and at Duke.  
 
Boswell scored a career-high 18 points in the season opener against Morgan State and then followed that up with 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the win at No. 2 Duke.  
 
This marks the 110th time that an Arizona player has been named Player of the Week by the Pac-12 Conference dating back to the 1979-80 season. That total leads all conference schools with UCLA in second with 86 selections. 
 
Arizona moved up to No. 3 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 poll and will play three games in McKale, starting tonight against Southern University (6 p.m., Pac-12 Network). Later this week, the Wildcats will host Belmont on Friday followed by UT Arlington on Sunday.
