ABOUT LAST GAME: Noah Fifita threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns, and Arizona knocked off No. 20 UCLA 27-10 on Saturday night to give the Wildcats victories over ranked opponents in three consecutive games for the first time in program history. Coming off wins over then-No. 19 Washington State and No. 16 Oregon State, the Wildcats (6-3, 4-2 Pac-12) picked apart one of the nation's top defenses to become bowl eligible for the first time since 2017 - two years after going 1-11 in coach Jedd Fisch's first season. Arizona ran for 129 yards against the FBS' best run defense and Fifita was sharp in his fifth straight start. He connected with Tetairoa McMillan on a 12-yard touchdown pass - originally ruled incomplete - early in the fourth quarter and hit 25 of 32 passes. The Bruins (6-3, 3-3 Pac-12), one of the nation's most aggressive pass-rushing teams, had a hard time putting pressure on Fifita and couldn't get out of their own way on offense. UCLA missed two field goals - a recurring problem this season - and turned the ball over on downs after recovering a blocked punt at Arizona's 31 in the fourth quarter. The Bruins got off to a sluggish start last week against Colorado, turning it over four times in the first half before rallying for a 28-16 win. UCLA was slow out of the gate again in the desert. The Bruins had a holding call negate a first down deep in Arizona's end on its opening drive and Blake Glessner missed a 41-yard field goal. A fumble and a sack on another drive forced the Bruins to settle for a field goal and Arizona blocked Glessner's kick - UCLA's fifth straight miss over three games. The Bruins finally found an offensive rhythm late in the half, quickly moving 75 yards for Ethan Garbers' 17-yard touchdown pass to Carsen Ryan with three seconds left. Fifita picked apart the Bruins in the first half with quick-hitting passes to set up a pair of scores. He threw two 9-yard TD passes, to Montana Lemonius-Craig and Jacob Cowing, to put the Wildcats up 14-7 at halftime. The Wildcats played one of the most difficult stretches of any team in the country, facing five straight ranked opponents. Arizona went 3-2 in that stretch, its two losses coming by a combined nine points. The Wildcats could be ranked in next week's poll for the first time since reaching No. 23 in 2017.

ARIZONA FACES COLORADO IN BOULDER: Arizona (6-3, 4-2) moves into the Top-25 in both the AP poll and Coaches Poll after taking down three consecutive top-20 opponents. Now the Wildcats face the Buffaloes for the 26th time in series history. Ted Robinson (PxP) and Yogi Roth (analyst) have the call on Pac-12 Networks. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. MST. The Wildcats defeated the Buffaloes 43-20 last season in Tucson to snap a two-game losing streak against Colorado. Arizona is 5-7 all-time in Boulder and have been outscored 357-284 against Colorado on the road. Although the Wildcats have dropped two of three, they have won three of the last five matchups and seven of the last ten games in the series. The Wildcats longest streak in the series was four games from 2012-15, including the largest margin of victory in the series for Arizona (56-31 in 2012), 25 in Tucson.

IN THE RANKINGS: For the first time since 2017, the Wildcats have been ranked in the AP Top 25, rising to No. 23 in the poll. The Wildcats are also ranked No. 24 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.  The Wildcats have taken down three AP Top-20 opponents over the past three weeks and have jumped to No. 23 in the AP Top-25 and No. 24 in the Coaches Poll following a 27-10 win over then No. 19 UCLA (CFP). It's the first time in program history that Arizona defeated three AP Top-20 ranked opponents in consecutive weeks. Arizona began its run with the largest margin of victory, 38 points, during a 44-6 road win over then No. 19 Washington State. The Wildcats returned home and remained hot taking down then No. 11 Oregon State 27-24 and defeating No. 18 UCLA 27-10 last night at Arizona Stadium. The Wildcats are ranked in the AP Top 25 for the first time since 2017 when they were ranked as high as 17th.

FIFITA FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK: Arizona Football quarterback Noah Fifita has been named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week for the fourth time following his 300-yard, three passing-touchdown performance against No. 19 UCLA during Week 10. Fifita has earned this honor in four consecutive weeks, tying the conference record four times in one season since the creation of the honor in 2019. The only time Fifita did not take home the Freshman of the Week Honor over the last five weeks was following the BYE week for the Wildcats on Oct. 21. He completed 25-of-32 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns against one of the nation's best defenses in a Week 10 victory. His 300 passing yards were the most allowed by UCLA's defense this season. Also, the three touchdown passes tied for the most allowed by the Bruins this season. The 429 yards by the Wildcats were the most allowed by UCLA this season. Fifita completed over 78 percent of his passes for the third consecutive game, with a high-water mark of 79.1 percent against Washington State on Oct. 14. The redshirt freshman from Huntington Beach earned his fifth consecutive start against a ranked opponent and has posted a 3-2 record. His performance helped the Wildcats clinch bowl eligibility for the first time since 2017, after earning their sixth win of the season.

Arizona picked up their fourth victory over a ranked team during the head coach Jedd Fisch era. Arizona has now posted back-to-back years with road wins over teams ranked in the AP Top 25 for the first time since 1997 and 1998. It's their first time accomplishing the feat as an unranked team since 1981 (W, 13-10 over #1 USC on road) and 1982 (W, 16-13 over #9 Notre Dame on road). It's the first time in program history that the Wildcats have defeated three consecutive ranked opponents. WILDCATS IN THE NFL: The Wildcats are once again well represented in the National Football League this year with eight former letterwinners across the league. One of Arizona's most prestigious alumnus, tight end Rob Gronkowski, retired following the 2021 season after winning the fourth Super Bowl of his career. Gronk was a five-time Pro Bowl selection, a four-time First Team All-Pro selection, and was selected to the NFL's 2010s All-Decade Team and NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. Over 11 seasons with New England and Tampa Bay, Gronkowski recorded 9,286 yards (5th all time) and 92 touchdowns (3rd all time).
