TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona earned its fourth run-rule victory of the season to improve to 4-0 after beating NC State 15-1 in five innings on Saturday.

The Wildcats plated 15 runs on 17 hits in the win. Freshman
Olivia DiNardo went 3-for-3 and four players had two hits.
Blaise Biringer went 2-for-4 with four RBI and
Allie Skaggs had three RBI. Â

Arizona scored one in the first on an error by NC State. In the second, the Cats scored six runs in an explosive inning. Arizona hit five singles – three of which were RBI singles, a two-RBI double from
Carlie Scupin, and an RBI groundout from Biringer to extend the lead.

In the third, the Cats scored three runs to make it a 10-0 lead.
Dakota Kennedy drove in a run on an RBI fielder's choice and Biringer hit an RBI double. Kennedy stole second and NC State's catcher had a throwing error, allowing DiNardo to score from third. Â

Three RBI singles, an RBI double from Scupin, and a sac-fly from Skaggs added five more runs for Arizona in the fourth to make it 15-0. NC State scored one in the fifth on an RBI double.

Devyn Netz (3-0) earned her third win in as many starts. Netz faced 10 batters, striking out three and retiring nine in 3.0 innings.
Brianna Hardy pitched the final two innings for Arizona and struck out five of the nine batters she faced.
