TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 12 Arizona (5-0) swept the Candrea Classic following its fifth run-rule victory of the weekend. The Wildcats took down NC State 15-1 in five innings for the second day in a row.

Arizona scored 15 runs on 15 hits and five Wildcats had multiple hits in the win.
Carlie Scupin led the team with five RBI on a three-run home run, an RBI single, and a sac-fly.
Izzy Pacho went 3-for-4 with three RBI and
Blaise Biringer went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

NC State struck first on a solo homer, but the Cats answered with two runs in the bottom of the first on back-to-back RBI singles from Pacho and Scupin.

In the second,
Allie Skaggs drove in two runs on a double to left center and Scupin brought in Arizona's fourth run of the game on a sacrifice fly.

Biringer hit a two-RBI double and Pacho had an RBI ground-out in the third to extend Arizona's lead to 8-1.

The Wildcats exploded in the fourth for seven runs. Scupin hit her second homer of the weekend – a three-RBI shot to left center. A pair of RBI singles from Biringer and Pacho drove in two more for Arizona. Freshman
Kaiah Altmeyer hit her first extra-base hit to bring
Tayler Biehl home and
Dakota Kennedy had an RBI ground-out.

Ali Blanchard (2-0) entered in relief for
Aissa Silva to pick up the win. Blanchard struck out five batters in three innings. Silva earned her first career start, striking out two of the eight batters she faced in two innings.
