TEMPE, Ariz. – No. 17 Arizona fell in the final game of the series, 3-4, at No. 22 Arizona State on Sunday. The Wildcats won the first two games to clinch the series.

Arizona had 10 hits but only scored three runs, leaving 14 runners on base during the game.

Arizona opened the game with a two-run first inning. Scupin hit a solo home run – her ninth of the season – and
Izzy Pacho had an RBI single to bring across the second run.

ASU scored three in the third on an RBI single and a two-run home run. The Sun Devils scored another on a solo home run in the fifth.

In the sixth, Skaggs had an RBI single to cut into ASU's lead, but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback.

Devyn Netz (8-6) was credited with the loss after giving up all three runs in the third.
Brianna Hardy relieved Netz in the third, retiring the two batters she faced.
Sydney Somerndike pitched the final three innings, tying her career high of five strikeouts.
