TUCSON, Ariz. – Malia Hargrove has been tabbed an All-Pac-12 honorable mention on vault, announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Hargrove, a native of Sparks, Nev., earns the first Pac-12 honor of her career. She ranks seventh on vault in the Pac-12 and 23rd nationally with a 9.905 NQS. Hargrove set a career high of 9.975 on the event at Oregon State and has posted scores of 9.75 and above on vault in every meet this season.
The All-Conference teams shall be determined by qualifying scores, including the regular season, and the Pac-12 Championships. The All-Pac-12 First Team consists of the top six all-around performers, and top six performers in each individual event (including ties) based on national qualifying scores (through March 20). All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention consists of seventh- and eighth-place performances in each individual event and the all-around (including ties) based on national qualifying scores.
Hargrove and the GymCats will compete in the NCAA Denver Regional on Thursday, March 30 against North Carolina.
