PHOENIX, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (9-3) offense collected a dozen runs on 17 hits to secure a 12-10 victory over the Grand Canyon Antelopes (8-4) on Tuesday night at GCU Ballpark.
The win was Arizona's sixth in a row heading into Pac-12 play this weekend against California. Over that six game stretch the Wildcats offense has averaged 11.5 runs per game.
Starting pitcher
Aiden May did not factor into the decision after working three innings. Right-handed reliever
Dawson Netz, the first man out of the bullpen, struck out the side in the fourth inning and was awarded the win to improve to 2-0.
Trevor Long worked the ninth inning and secured his third save of the year.
Chase Davis,
Garen Caulfield, and
Mason White combined for four home runs and drove in eight of Arizona's dozen runs on Tuesday night; it marked the second multi-HR performance of Davis' career, while White's home run was the first of his collegiate career.
