TUCSON, Ariz. — The Arizona Wildcats (14-12, 3-9) mounted a late innings comeback but fell short in an 8-5 loss to the Oregon Ducks (18-7, 6-3) on Sunday afternoon at Hi Corbett Field.
Chase Davis,
Kiko Romero, and
Emilio Corona all blasted home runs in the seventh and eighth innings to pull the Wildcats closer to the Ducks. Davis and Romero went back-to-back in the seventh, while Corona hit his second of the year to lead off the eighth.
Starting pitcher
Aiden May (2-2) took the loss after 5.2 innings of work in which he allowed five runs and struck out two.
