Sienkiewicz-Christensen Tandem Guides Cats on Saturday

STANFORD, Calif. – The tandem of Tiger Christensen and Chase Sienkiewicz both fired 3-under rounds of 67 on Saturday as No. 18 Arizona Men's Golf remained in seventh place at 1-over par at the Pac-12 Championships. The Wildcat duo made Arizona the only program to have multiple rounds of 67 or lower in the third round of the championships. Arizona, tied with Utah for seventh place, will look to catch sixth-place Washington State on Sunday and erase its nine-shot lead.

"Hats off to Chase and Tiger for carding outstanding rounds today and setting the tone for us," said head coach Jim Anderson. "We did not make up as many shots today on the teams ahead of us on the leaderboard as we had hoped, but that does not take away from the quality golf played today. Our game plan for tomorrow's final round is to clean up our approach to a couple of holes and just focus on shooting good scores."

Sienkiewicz bolstered his place on the leaderboard with Saturday's round of 67, capping the day in a tie for fifth place at 7-under. He and three other golfers sit a stroke behind WSU's Pono Yanagi and two strokes back of Utah's Javier Barcos. By shooting his best round of the week by three strokes on Saturday, Christensen rose 17 spots into a tie for 30th at 1-over. The sophomore sank four birdies with just one bogey on Saturday.

The Arizona trio of Chaz Aurilia, Filip Jakubcik and Sam Sommerhauser rounded out the team's five counting scores on Saturday afternoon as all three shot 2-over on the day.

Sunday will be the fourth and final round of this year's Pac-12 Championships. The Wildcats will tee off with Utah and California at 10 a.m. (MST) off the 10th hole.
