TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona senior
Filip Jakubcik continued to etch his name all over the program record book, this time becoming just the 11
th player in school history to earn First Team All-American honors and the first since Chris Nallen in 2004.
Jakubcik helped the Wildcats to a tie for third place as a team at the 2026 NCAA Men's Golf Championship this week in Carlsbad, Calif., and finished tied for fourth individually. It marked Arizona's best team finish and the best individual finish by a Wildcat since 2004.
A native of Czech Republic, Jakubcik earned First Team All-Big 12 honors and posted a scoring average of 70.11, the third-best single-season average in program history. He finishes his career with a scoring average of 71.17, the best in program history, narrowly edging out Nallen's 71.19 average.
He finishes his career with four individual tournament wins and was ranked fourth in the final PGA TOUR University rankings, which provides him access to the Korn Ferry Tour for the remainder of the 2026 season. He also finishes the year ranked No. 10 in the country among all college golfers according to the Clippd rankings and is ranked as the No. 6 amateur golfer in the world in the latest World Amateur Golf Rankings released last week.
